Wenn die trüben Tage grauen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations: CAT ENG FRE
Wenn die trüben Tage grauen,
Kalt und feindlich blickt die Welt,
Findet scheu sich dein Vertrauen,
Ganz auf dich allein gestellt.
Aber in dich selbst verwiesen
Aus der alten Freuden Land,
Siehst du neuen Paradiesen,
Deinen Glauben zugewandt.
Als dein Eigenstes erkennst du,
Was dir fremd und feind erschien,
Und mit neuen Namen nennst du
Dein Geschick und und nimmst es hin.
Was dich zu erdrücken drohte,
Zeigt sich freundlich, atmet Geist,
Ist ein Führer, ist ein Bote,
Der dich hoch und höher weist.

Quan els dies tristos llostregen
Language: Catalan (Català)  after the German (Deutsch)
Quan els dies tristos llostregen,
el món sembla fred i hostil,
aleshores, tímidament, la teva confiança
es troba posada completament en tu, tu tot sol.
Però referint-se a tu mateix,
des del país de les velles alegrances,
veus la teva fe adreçada
vers nous paradisos.
Reconeixes com més propi del teu ésser
allò que et semblava estrany i hostil,
i dónes al teu destí un nou nom
i l’acceptes.
Allò que amenaçava d’afeixugar-te
es mostra amical, alena esperit,
és un guia, és un missatger
que t’assenyala cada cop més amunt.
