Stilla visor

Song Cycle by Ture Rangström (1884 - 1947)

1. Kvällsvisa
 (Sung text)

Language: Swedish (Svenska)
Stundar nattens blida fall,
går en dynings drömska svall
trött i sorl mot stranden.
Står en stjärna öfver våg,
bärs en dröm i drömmars tåg
stilla öfver landen.

Stjärnan darrar blek och klar,
allt som sårat allt som skar
sjönk i djupens strömmar.
Öfver haf och öfver land
spinner minnets tysta hand
ljusa barndomsdrömmar.

1. Abendlied
 (Sung text)

Language: German (Deutsch)
Träumend sinkt die stille Nacht,
alle Wellen wiegen sacht,
lind und müd am Strande.
Über Fluten zieht der Stern,
Alte Träume wachen fern.
Dämmernd ruhn die Lande.
Alle Sterne zittern weit.

Altes Weh und junges Leid
fliehn wie Wellenschäume.
Über Meer und über Land
webt der Sehnsucht milde Hand
lichte Jugendträume.

2. Drömvisa
 (Sung text)

Language: Swedish (Svenska)
Glittrande fjärdar i middagsljus,
klingande vågor och furors sus!
Hvar dröjer min kära?

Ros, som knoppas på törnekvist,
blomster på stig, som hon trampade sist!
Hvar dröjer min kära?

Slokande gran och vajande björk,
glimtande vik och tjärn så mörk!
Hvar dröjer min kära?

Dörr, som stått öppen i många år,
tröskel där ej hennes fotsteg går!
Hvar dröjer min kära?

Solen går upp, och solen går ned.
Spindeln spinner på låsets vred!
Hvar dröjer min kära?

2. Traumlied
 (Sung text)

Language: German (Deutsch)
Funkelnde Weiten im Sommerlicht,
klingende Welle und säuselnde Ficht!
Wo ruht meine Liebe?

Rose, knospend im Dornenhain,
Blüte, verwelkend im Dämmerschein!
Wo ruht meine Liebe?

Wehende Tann in Spätsommerglut,
drohendes Dunkel, finstre Flut!
Wo ruht meine Liebe?

Türe so offen, so stumm und weit,
Schwelle entschwundener, lichter Zeit!
Wo ruht meine Liebe?

Kaum glüht der Sonne schwindender Schein.
Spinnen weben die Träume ein!
Wo ruht meine Liebe?

3. Vaggvisa
 (Sung text)

Language: German (Deutsch)
Månen hänger i trädets gren,
stänker fint silfver på trappans sten.
Sof, sof, hjärtebarn...

Nyss dog det sista sjungande sus,
vind hvilar trött öfver marker och hus.
Sof, sof, hjärtebarn...

Doft vaggar bruset från mörker fylld ström,
glider och glider och blir till en dröm.
Sof, sof, hjärtebarn...

Månen hänger i trädets gren,
väfver sig örngott af silfversken.
Sof, sof, hjärtebarn...
Sof, sof.

3. Wiegenlied
 (Sung text)

Language: German (Deutsch)
Ruht der Mond in dem Blütenhain,
glitzern die Dächer im Silberschein.
Schlaf, schlaf, Herzemein...

Schweiget der letzte spielende Wind,
tönen die Stimmen der Dämmrung gelind.
Schlaf, schlaf, Herzenskind...

Trüb schwillt das Brausen in dunkelndem Raum,
ziehet und flichtet und schwindet wie Schaum.
Schlaf, schlaf, Herzenstraum...

Ruht der Mond in dem Blütenhain,
weben die Träume im Silberschein.
Schlaf, schlaf, Herzemein...
Schlaf, schlaf.
