Si fes fosc, jauria al bosc,
al bosc tot remoreja tan suaument,
amb el seu mantell d’estrelles
em cobriria la nit,
els petits rierols vindrien i dirien:
ja dorms?

No dormo, de fa molta estona escolto
els rossinyols,
quan les capçades al meu damunt es balancegen,
ressona tota la nit,
són els pensaments del cor
que canten quan ningú vetlla.

Ich sah der Liebe Licht

Und wandl' ich nun allein
Im Frühling durch den Hain,
Erscheint aus jedem Strauch
Ihr Angesicht mir auch.

Und seh ich sie am Ort
Wo längst der Frühling fort,
So sprießt ein Lenz und schallt
Um ihre süße Gestalt.

3. Primavera d'amor

Una vegada vaig veure la primavera
florint a la vall més formosa;
vaig veure la llum de l’amor
en el rostre més bell.

I ara, quan camino tot sol
pel bosc a la primavera,
a cada matoll se m’apareix
també el seu rostre.

I si el veig en un lloc
on fa temps que la primavera ha marxat,
brosta de nou i ressona
al voltant de la seva dolça imatge.
