French (Français) translations of 5 Lieder, opus 25

by Ludwig Hess (1877 - 1944)

1. Keine gleicht dir  [sung text not yet checked]
by Ludwig Hess (1877 - 1944), "Keine gleicht dir", op. 25 (5 Lieder), published 1908 [ voice and piano ]
Language: German (Deutsch)
Keine gleicht von allen Schönen,
Zauberhafte, dir!
Wie Musik auf Wassern tönen
Deine Worte mir;
Wenn das Meer vergißt zu rauschen,
Um entzückt zu lauschen,
Lichte Wellen leise schäumen,
Eingelullte Winde träumen:

Wenn der Mond die Silberkette
Über Fluten spinnt,
Deren Brust im stillen Bette
Atmet, wie ein Kind:
Also liegt mein Herz versunken,
Lauschend, wonnetrunken,
Sanft gewiegt und voll sich labend,
Wie des Meeres Sommerabend.

1. Aucune de toutes les belles n'égale
Language: French (Français)
Aucune de toutes les belles n'égale
Ta magie, ô toi !
Comme une musique sur les eaux résonnent
Tes paroles pour moi ;
Quand la mer oublie de gronder,
Charmée, pour écouter,
Les vagues claires écument délicatement
Et les vents apaisés rêvent.

Quand par la lune la chaîne argentée
Est filée sur les flots
Dont le sein dans leur lit tranquille
Respire comme un enfant :
Ainsi mon cœur est couché, en extase,
Écoutant, ivre de bonheur,
Bercé doucement et se délectant pleinement,
Comme les vagues d'un soir d'été.
