Und der Wandrer hört ein Plätschern,
Und ein Athmen in der Stille.

Badet sich die schöne Elfe;
Arm und Nacken, weiß und lieblich,
Schimmern in dem Mondenscheine.

Le promeneur entend un barbotement

Là-bas seules dans le ruisseaux
Les belles naïades se baignent.
