Δεν κρατώ καμιά κακία, ακόμα κι αν η καρδιά μου ραγίζει
ω! αγαπημένη μου που έχεις χαθεί για πάντα, δεν κρατώ καμιά κακία!
ακόμα κι αν λάμπεις με τα διαμαντένια σου στολίδια,
καμιά ακτίνα δεν φτάνει το λυκόφως που βασιλεύει στην καρδιά σου.
το ξέρω πολύ καλά.

Δεν κρατώ καμιά κακία, ακόμα κι αν η καρδιά μου ραγίζει
σε είδα μέσα σε όνειρο
και είδα το σκοτάδι που γεμίζει την ψυχή σου,
είδα το φίδι που κατατρώει την καρδιά σου,
είδα, ακριβή μου αγάπη, την ατέλειωτη δυστυχία σου.

Doch wenn du sprichst: ich liebe dich!
