French (Français) translations of Lieder und Gesänge, opus 37

by Heinrich Pestalozzi (1878 - 1940)

Return to the original list

1. Auf Wanderung
 (Sung text)
by Heinrich Pestalozzi (1878 - 1940), "Auf Wanderung ", op. 37 (Lieder und Gesänge) no. 1 (1923), published <<1934 [ voice and piano ]
Language: German (Deutsch)
Sei nicht traurig, bald ist es Nacht,
Da sehn wir über dem bleichen Land
Den kühlen Mond, wie er heimlich lacht
Und ruhen Hand in Hand.

Sei nicht traurig, bald kommt die Zeit,
Da haben wir Ruh. Unsre Kreuzlein stehen
Am hellen Straßenrande zu zweit,
Und es regnet und schneit,
Und die Winde kommen und gehen.

1.

2. Im Grase hingestreckt
 (Sung text)
by Heinrich Pestalozzi (1878 - 1940), "Im Grase hingestreckt ", op. 37 (Lieder und Gesänge) no. 2 (1921), published <<1934 [ voice and piano ]
Language: German (Deutsch)
Im Grase hingestreckt
Lausch ich der Halme zartem Wald,
Der flüstert wirr und hat mir bald
Den Himmel fast verdeckt.

Es kommt die Zeit heran,
Da weiß ich nichts von Leide mehr
Und schmerzt es heute noch so sehr,
Alsdann ist es vertan.

Dann kreist mein heißes Blut
Gekühlt und licht in Halm und Klee,
Und dieser Stunde grimmes Weh
Ist still, ist kühl, ist gut.

2.

Alors mon sang bouillonnant circulera,
Refroidi, parmi les tiges et le trèfle
Et à cet instant le terrible mal
Sera calmé, refroidi, bon.

3. Die Nacht
 (Sung text)
by Heinrich Pestalozzi (1878 - 1940), "Die Nacht ", op. 37 (Lieder und Gesänge) no. 3 (1921), published <<1934 [ voice and piano ]
Language: German (Deutsch)
Die Nacht ist mir so nah bekannt,
Wir können unsre Gedanken lesen,
Wir haben dasselbe Vaterland,
Wir sind vorzeiten Geschwister gewesen.

Und abermal um eine Zeit
Da wird sie mich so ganz umfangen!
Sie nickt, sie streichelt meine Wangen
Und fragt: bist du bereit?

4. Es wird dir sonderbar erscheinen
 (Sung text)
by Heinrich Pestalozzi (1878 - 1940), "Es wird dir sonderbar erscheinen ", op. 37 (Lieder und Gesänge) no. 4 (1923), published <<1934 [ voice and piano ]
Language: German (Deutsch)
Es wird dir sonderbar erscheinen,
Daß ich zuweilen wie ein Knabe
Nicht schlafen kann vor lautem Weinen
Und bitterlich das Heimweh habe,

Und daß ich tagelang in Träumen
Hinschlendre mit geheimem Leid
An fremden, stillen Gartensäumen,
Gedenkend meiner Kinderzeit ...

5. Gondel
 (Sung text)
by Heinrich Pestalozzi (1878 - 1940), "Gondel", op. 37 (Lieder und Gesänge) no. 5 (1922), published <<1934 [ voice and piano ]

Meine jungen Jahre gleiten
Unbekannten Zielen zu
Durch beglänzte schöne Weiten,
Schlanke Gondel, rasch und leicht wie du.

  • by Hermann Hesse (1877 - 1962), "Gondel", written 1907, appears in Unterwegs, first published 1911

5. Gondole

Vers un but inconnu,
Par de beaux lointains resplendissants,
Vite et légèrement, comme toi, étroite gondole.

6. Wanderschaft
 (Sung text)
by Heinrich Pestalozzi (1878 - 1940), "Wanderschaft", op. 37 (Lieder und Gesänge) no. 6 (1924), published <<1934 [ voice and piano ]
Language: German (Deutsch)
Im Walde blüht der Seidelbast,
Im Graben liegt noch Schnee;
Das du mir heut' geschrieben hast,
Das Brieflein tat mir weh.

Jetzt schneid' ich einen Stab im Holz;
Ich weiß ein ander Land,
Da sind die Jungfern nicht so stolz
Dem Lieben abgewandt.

Im Walde blüht der Seidelbast,
Kein Brieflein tut mir weh,
Und das du mir geschrieben hast,
Schwimmt draußen auf dem See,
Schwimmt draußen auf dem Bodensee,
Ja draußen auf dem See.

6. Randonnée
Language: French (Français)
Le daphné fleurit dans la forêt,
La neige [recouvre]1 le [fossé]2 ;
Ce que tu m'as écrit aujourd'hui,
La petite lettre, m'a fait mal.

Je me taille maintenant un bâton de bois ;
