Nacht ist wie ein stilles Meer
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations: CAT DUT ENG ENG FRE HEB ITA
Nacht ist wie ein stilles Meer,
Lust und Leid und Liebesklagen
Kommen so verworren her
In dem linden Wellenschlagen.
Wünsche wie die Wolken sind,
Schiffen durch die stillen Räume,
Wer erkennt im lauen Wind,
Ob's Gedanken oder Träume? --
Schließ' ich nun auch Herz und Mund,
Die so gern den Sternen klagen:
Leise doch im Herzensgrund
Bleibt das linde Wellenschlagen.

La notte è come un mare calmo
Language: Italian (Italiano)  after the German (Deutsch)
La notte è come un mare calmo,
gioie e dolori e lamenti d'amore
giungono come mescolati
al delicato sciacquio delle onde.
I desideri sono come le nuvole,
navigano attraverso silenziosi spazi,
chi può sapere se, nel tiepido vento,
sono pensieri o sogni soltanto?
Se anche ora tengo chiusi il cuore e la bocca,
che con le stelle amano confidarsi,
lieve però nel profondo del cuore
resta il delicato sciacquio delle onde.
