Wir freun uns Himmelsfreuden,
Daß wir sind, und über Ihn erstaunen können!
Ehre sey ihm auch von uns an den Gräbern hier,
Obwohl an seines Thrones lezten Stufen
Des Erzengels niedergeworfne Krone
Und seines Preisgesangs Wonne tönt.
Ehre sey und Dank und Preis dem Hocherhabnen, dem Ersten,
Der nicht begann, und nicht aufhören wird!
Der sogar des Staubs Bewohnern gab,
Nicht aufzuhören.

Venerat sigui el molt excels, el primer, el pare de l’univers,
a qui barbotegem els nostres salms,
tot i que Ell, el prodigiós,
sigui inefable i inconcebible.
Una flama de l’altar al seu tron
ha entrat a la nostra ànima!
Ens alegrem amb una joia celestial
de què existim i que per Ell ens podem meravellar!
Venerat sigui per nosaltres, també aquí, a les tombes,
encara que al darrer graó del seu tron
l’arcàngel ha gitat la seva corona
i hi ressona el goig del seu cant de lloança.
Venerat sigui, i gràcies i lloances al nostre excels, al primer,
al que no té principi ni fi!
A qui àdhuc als que vivim en la pols
ens donà la immortalitat.
