Ma grideran per me le piagge e i monti
E questa selva, a cui
Sì spesso li tuo bel nome
Di risonar insegno.
Per me piangendo i fonti
E mormorando i venti,
Diranno i miei lamenti;

Mais pour moi les plages et les monts le crieront,
Et cette forêt, à qui
Si souvent à ton beau nom
J'apprends à faire écho.
Pour moi, les fontaines en pleurs,

Sur mon visage parleront
La pitié et la douleur ;
