Das freut euch Guten; freuet euch!
Dies alles ist dem Todten gleich.

Doch nein, - denn eure Liebe spannt
Die Aeste in das Geisterland:

Y cuando la tierra se rejuvenezca
y nazcan flores sobre mi tumba,
¡alegraos, buena gente, alegraos!
Porque a los muertos no les importa.

Pero no, pues vuestro amor tiende
sus ramas hacia el país de los espíritus,
