Fischen and Jagen freute mich sehr. -- Schweig' stille, mein Herz, schweig' still! Und über eine kleine Weil', Rohtraut, Schön-Rohtraut, So dient der Knab' auf Ringangs Schloß In der und hat ein Roß, Mit Rohtraut zu jagen. O daß ich doch ein Königssohn wär'! Rohtraut, Schön-Rohtraut lieb' ich so sehr. -- Schweig' stille, mein Herz, schweig' still! Einstmals sie ruh'ten am Eichenbaum, Da lacht Schön-Rohtraut: Was siehst du mich an so wunniglich? Wenn du das Herz hast, küsse mich! Ach! erschrak der Knabe! Doch denket er: mir ist's vergunnt, Und küsset Schön-Rohtraut auf den Mund. -- Schweig' stille, mein Herz, schweig' still! Vissen en jagen, daar houd ik van. - Wees stil toch, mijn hart, wees stil! En na een taam'lijk korte poos, Rohtraut, mooie Rohtraut. Toen moest de knecht op Ringrangs slot, In jachtkledij, te paard heel vlot, Met Rohtraut gaan jagen. O, was ik toch een koning maar! Rohtraut, ja, Rohtraut, 'k houd zo van haar. - Wees stil toch, mijn hart, wees stil! Zij rustten eens bij een eikenboom, Toen lachte mooie Rohtraut: Wat kijk je mij indringend aan? Als jij het hart hebt, kus mij dan! Ach, wat schrok de jongen! Maar toen dacht hij: het is wel rond, En kuste, ja, Rohtraut op de mond. - Wees stil toch, mijn hart, wees stil! Zij reden daarna zwijgend terug, Rohtraut, mooie Rohtraut; Hij juicht, de knaap diep binnenin: Werd jij vandaag nog keizerin, Mij zal 't niet deren; Geen blad in 't bos heeft het gemist: Ik heb echt Rohtrauts mond gekust! - Wees stil toch, mijn hart, wees stil!
