Mais vous, Yver, trop estes plein 
De nège, vent, pluye et grézil.
On vous deust banir en éxil.
Sans point flater je parle plein,
Yver, vous n'estes qu'un vilain.

Der Sommer ist vergnüglich und angenehm
Wie man am Mai und April wohl sehen kann
Sowohl am Tage, wie bei Nacht.
Der Sommer kleidet Feld, Wald und Blumen
Wiedrum in ihr grünes Gewand,
schmückt auch mit vielen anderen Farben
Wie es die Natur befiehlt.
Aber Ihr, Winter, plagt uns mit zuviel
Schnee, Wind, Regen und Graupel.
Man sollte Euch von hier verbannen.
Ohne Schmeichelei sag' ich's wie es ist,
