Что гроза таится в этом зное. 

Бледная, поникла у балкона -
Ждёт грозы,- и грезится ей, бедной,
Что далекой бури призрак бледный
Стал темнеть в лазури небосклона... 

Грёзы лета кажутся ей былью,-
Гроз и бурь она ещё не знает,
Ждёт... зовёт... и жутко замирает,
Золотой осыпанная пылью...
