Ich bin der Welt abhanden gekommen
(Sung text for setting by G. Mahler)
 See original
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  CAT DUT ENG FIN FRE ITA NOR POL POR SPA SWE

In meinem Lieben, in meinem Lied.

Composition:

Set to music by Gustav Mahler (1860 - 1911), "Ich bin der Welt abhanden gekommen", 1901-2, published 1905 [ voice and orchestra ], from Fünf Rückertlieder, no. 4

  • by Friedrich Rückert (1788 - 1866), no title, appears in Lyrische Gedichte, in 3. Liebesfrühling, in 4. Vierter Strauß. Wiedergewonnen [or Entfremdet], no. 29

Straniero  al mondo sono diventato
(Sung text translation for setting by G. Mahler)
 See original

E pure nulla me ne può importare,
