Rough wind that moanest loud
Grief too sad for song;
Wild wind, when sullen cloud
Knells all  ...  night long;
Sad storm whose tears are vain,
Bare woods, whose branches strain,
Deep caves and dreary main, --
Wail, for the world's wrong!

Published by Mrs. Shelley in Posthumous Poems, 1824.

Composition:

    Set to music by Charles Edward Ives (1874 - 1954), "Rough wind", 1902

Vent rúfol
 (Sung text translation for setting by C. Ives)
 See original
Language: Catalan (Català)  after the English
Vent rúfol que gemega fort
un dolor massa trist per a un cant;
vent feréstec quan un núvol ombriu
fa tocar a morts tota la nit;
desolada tempesta de la que les llàgrimes són en va,
boscos pelats amb branques teses,
cavernes profundes i llòbrec oceà, --
ploreu, per el mal del món!
