"Laß uns spazieren geh'n nach jener grünen Aue,
Dort tun wir beide uns im jungen Grase gütlich,
Denn in Gesellschaft gackert es sich gar gemütlich."

"Nein!" sprach die weiße Gans, "Da muß ich refusieren,
Mit meinesgleichen nur geh' ich am Tag spazieren;
Vertraulichkeit mit dir gereichte mir zur Schande,
Zwar bin ich eine Gans, doch eine Gans von Stande!"
