Schönster Schatz, mein Engel, ich lieb dich ganz allein, ich hoff du sollst mein werden, sollst noch mein eigen sein. Gib du mir Wein zu trinken, so tu ich dir Bescheid, tust du mir heimlich winke, so ist mein Herz erfreut. All Freud ist mir benommen, vor lauter Traurigkeit; ich hab mein Schatz gesehen in einem weißen Kleid. Ich hab ihn drin gesehen, den ich nicht mehr sehn kann, das tut mein Herze kränken, das brennt wie Feuer und Flamm!
