Falu legényei, kenyeres pajtásim,
Az Isten áldása szálljon le reátok,
Éljetek örömmel, mert én búval élek,
De az én rózsámat el ne szeressétek.

Megpendült harangom, pallérozott kardom,
Nem szabad énnékem az ágyban meghalnom!
Forgatom fegyverem vitézek módjára,
Áldozom éltemet az ország javára.
