Dans l'antichambre, sur un fauteuil, sont posés la tunique,
le baudrier et le manteau de von Languenau.
Ses gants gisent sur le plancher.
Son drapeau est droit debout, appuyé à la croisée.
Il est noir et étroit.
Dehors une tempête court dans le ciel
et déchire la nuit en morceaux blancs et noirs.
Le clair de lune s'attarde comme un long éclair,
et le drapeau immobile jette une ombre inquiète.
Il rêve.
