Des Schweizers Heimkehr
(Sung text for setting by F. Kamm)
 See original
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  ENG
Und wiederum die reine Luft
Von deinen Bergen athm' ich ein,
Und wiederum, o Schweizerland,
O süße Heimat, bist du mein!

Ein Alphorn klagt gedämpften Tons
Herüber von dem Felsenhang,
Ein fernes Heerdenglöcklein klingt,
Und meine Seele wird Gesang.

Und wiederum die reine Luft
Von deinen Bergen athm' ich ein,
Und wiederum, o Schweizerland,
O süße Heimat, bist du mein!

 ...

In eine Aeolsharfe ist
Verwandelt wieder mein Gemüth,
Darüber wie ein linder Hauch
Der Zauber deiner Sagen zieht.

Und wiederum die reine Luft
Von deinen Bergen athm' ich ein,
Und wiederum, o Schweizerland,
O süße Heimat, bist du mein!
