Al llarg de la muntanya passava un seguici nupcial,
jo sentia cantar els ocells;
llavors resplendiren molts cavallers, sonà el corn de caça,
era una alegre cacera!
I abans que ho pensés, tot es perdé al lluny,
la nit cobrí tot l’entorn,
només el bosc remorejava de les muntanyes,
i jo sentia un calfred fins al fons del cor.
El nuvi besà la pàl·lida núvia,
la mare digué baixet, "No et planyis!"
Al lluny, el corn ressonava fort per les afraus;
era una alegre cacera!
