Ich weiß, warum der Mond
 (Sung text for setting by H. Fleischer)
 Matches original text
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  FRE
Ich weiß, warum der Mond so blaß und trübe
Den Stern der Erde immerdar umkreist;
Er geht den Weg der Sehnsucht und der Liebe,
Die Straße, wo auch ich mich matt gereist.
Du hältst mich fest, ich kann dir nicht entfliehen;
Du reißt mich hin und bist doch ewig fern -
O meine Welt! mich stets dir nachzuziehen,
Ermüde nie, ich folge ja so gern.
