Und kann nicht schöner seyn;

 Look at my dear tree,
 how it stands so majestically,
 every branch sheathed
 so wonderfully with frost!

 From bottom to top,
 upon each little twig,
 frost hangs white and delicate, tender and fuzzy;
 it could not be more beautiful.

 An angel of God walks by night,
 strewing frost secretly here and there,
 and when the woodsman awakens
 he has already gone.
