Zu der, auf die er hofft.

  Wohl jedem, der frei lebet
Wie du, du leichte Schar,
In Trost und Frieden schwebet
Und außer aller Fahr.

Such that mountain and valley resounds.

  It is well for him who can sing as freely
As you, you folk of the air,
And who can let his voice rise up
To Him, upon whom his hope is centered.

As you, you light-hearted flock
That hovers in comfort and peace
And out of the range of all danger.
