Blumen und Liebe

Blickt durch die Welt entweit, schweigend vor seliger Lust;

Rouse yourselves, ye flowers, awaken and open your tear-dimmed eyes.
The morning showers already fall cool upon the meadows and forests around!
As the Sun bestirs a bride from her pillow (odour of roses),
so she looks far and wide through all the world, silently approving my blessed joy.
She kisses the mild tears from thy painted cheeks,
As they have stained you from longing whilst you dreamed in the still night.
Behold, everywhere things move about, sparkle, rejoice, and are full to bursting!
God! O how beautiful the world is when it shines upon love!
