Ihr Burschen und ihr Frauen
Im Land Italia,
Ich werde euch wiederschauen,
Ich bin euch selig nah.

Ihr Bursche, nun will ich zechen
Mit euch den schwarzen Wein
Und wieder bei Singen und Stechen
Euch Kamerade sein.

Ihr Frauen von Rom und Venedig,
Nun fallet mir um den Hals,
Ich bin noch so jung und ledig
Und lustig wie ehemals!
