“Pau.” I els cors no gosen alegrar-se,
les llàgrimes els són més properes.
Nosaltres, pobra gent,
tan capaços de la bondat com de la maldat,
bèsties i déus! Com ens abaten avui
el dolor i la vergonya!
Però tenim esperança. I als nostres pits
habita el fervent averany
dels prodigis de l’amor.
Companys! La porta està oberta
per al retorn a casa, a l’esperit,
a l’amor i a tots
