  Mein alter Markenstein!
Ich fahre in mein Vaterland,
  Mein Vaterland hinein!

Du Land, in dem ich strebt' und stritt,
  Wie bist du grün und schön!
Du Luft, in der ich lebt' und litt,
  Wie duftig ist dein Weh'n!

Du Strom, auf dem mein Segel schwoll,
  Wie leuchtet deine Fluth,
Du Wald, in dem mein Horn erscholl,
  Wie klingt dein Rauschen gut!

Du aber bist noch, herz'ger Schatz,
  Wie immer schön und süss,
Und Alles steht auf dem alten Platz,
  Da wo ich's stehen liess.
