Verhallen auch jenseits die Töne der Freude;
Uns bleibet der Liebe beglückender Ton,

Les égarements, désirs et inquiétudes du jour
Se dénouent doucement dans l'espace qui change ;
Cependant reste ce qui est enfouit au fond de l'âme,
L'amour, sanctifié dans le plus heureux des rêves.

Les accents de la joie expirent aussi dans l'au-delà ;
Les accents heureux de l'amour restent avec nous,
