Dörfer und Mühlen, Wälder und grüne Au'n,
Schlösser und Burgen, lieblich zu schau'n,
  Freundliche Städtchen,
  Niedliche Mädchen:
  Gretchen und Käthchen,
  Kennst du mich noch?

Warum nicht kennen? Willkommen in unsrem Land!
Bist mir willkommen und reich mir die Hand!
  Laßt uns dann singen,

Do you still remember me?

Why do you not know? Welcome to our country!
Be ye welcome and give me your hand!
Then let us sing,
Dance and leap,
