Jag är allena bland träden vid sjön, 
jag lever i vänskap med strandens gamla granar 
och i hemligt samförstånd med alla unga rönnar. 
Allena ligger jag och väntar, 
ingen människa har jag sett gå förbi. 
Stora blommor blicka ned på mig från höga stjälkar, 
bittra slingerväxter krypa i min famn, 
jag har ett enda namn för allt, och det är kärlek.

Je suis seule parmi les arbres au bord de la mer,
je vis en harmonie avec les vieux sapins de la plage
et en secrète intelligence avec tous les jeunes sorbiers.
Je suis allongée seule et j'attends,

De grandes fleurs me regardent depuis leurs hautes tiges,
