Beim Erwachen

Tiefer ins Morgenrot versinken die Sterne alle, 
Fern nur aus Träumen dämmert dein Bild noch vorüber, 
Und weinender tauch' ich aus seliger Flut.
Aber im Herzen tief bewahr' ich die lieben Züge,
Trage sie schweigend durch des Tages Gewühle 
Bis wieder zur stillen, träumenden Nacht.
