Ihr frühlingstrunknen Blumen,
Ihr Bäume, monddurchblinket!
Ihr könnt nichts sagen und seid stumm,
Wie süß ihr schwelgt und trinket!

Ich trink und schwelge mit euch
Und sing's in heller Frühlingslust.
O, wie mir Aug und Wange glüht!
Sie hebt und sehnt sich meiner Brust!

Du sehnsuchtleuchtend Mondlicht,
Ihr friedlich hellen Sterne
Blickt zu den Blumen still herab.
Euch bleibt der Frühling ferne.

Mir blüht und glüht die Rose
Und mir die frische Frühlingspracht!
All meine Träume sind erfüllt,
Nun ist dem Herzen Ruh gebracht.

Vosaltres flors, embriagades per la primavera,
vosaltres arbres, que a través vostre la lluna resplendeix!
Vosaltres sou muts i no podeu dir res,
com dolçament fruïu i beveu!

Jo bec i frueixo amb vosaltres
i canto en la lluminosa voluptat primaveral.
Oh, com s’abrusen els meus ulls i les galtes!
El meu pit s’enlaira i es deleix!

Tu, llum de lluna resplendent d’anhel,
vosaltres, plàcides i brillants estrelles
mireu cap avall, silencioses, a les flors.
Per a vosaltres la primavera és molt lluny.

Per a mi, floreix i fulgura la rosa
i, per a mi, la fresca esplendor primaveral!
Tots els meus somnis s’han realitzat,
ara el meu cor ha trobat la pau.
