Du willst nicht mit zum Tanze gehn, Du Röslein hold und heilig? So bleib ich dir am Fenster stehn, So ist der Tanz nicht eilig. Wie blickt dein Auge tief und klar, Und dringt ins Herz so wunderbar, Als wie die Frühlingssonne, Ja Sonne! In meinem Garten, blau und weiß Erstehn der Blümlein viele, Da brech' ich Laub und Blüthenreis, Die flecht ich, wie zum Spiele. Zu all den Blümlein weiß und blau, Wohin ich geh, wohin ich schau, Fehlt mir nur noch die Rose, Ja Rose. Und willst du mir das Röslein sein, Wie süß will ich dich hegen, Zum Garten dir mein Herze weihn, Mit Liebethau dich pflegen!
