Language: Italian (Italiano)

E cosí a poco a poco
torno farfalla semplicetta al foco,
e nel fallace sguardo
un'altra volta mi consum'e ardo:
Ah, che piaga d'amore
quanto si cura piú tanto men sana.
Ch'ogni fatica è vana,
quando fu punto un giovinetto core
dal primo, e dolce strale;
chi spegne antico incendio il fa immortale.

Y así, poco a poco
Language: Spanish (Español)  after the Italian (Italiano)
Y así, poco a poco,
vuelvo como la simple mariposa al fuego,
y en la falaz mirada
otra vez me consumo y ardo:
¡Ay! Que la herida de amor
cuanto más se la cura, tanto menos sana.
Que cada esfuerzo es en vano,
cuando fue herido un joven corazón
por la primera y dulce flecha;
quien apaga una vieja llama la hace inmortal.
