Stille, sagte suser Vinde
medens Solens Straaler svinde,
Skyerne i Farver glöde
i den siste Aftenröde.

For mit Öje strömmer stille
Livets lyse klare Kilde,
od den maner tyst tilbage
Minder fra de svundne Dage.

Klare Toner op sig svinger,
Bölger kruses mens de klinger.
Sagte slutter Sövnen sine
arme blideligt om mine.

Iltalaulu

Hiljaa suhisevat tuulet
auringonsäteiden haihtuessa pois,
pilvet hehkuvat värikkäinä
iltaruskon viimeisessä kajossa.

Silmieni edessä pulppuaa hiljaa
elämän kirkas lähde,
vaiti se kutsuu takaisin
muistoja menneiltä päiviltä.

Kirkkaita säveliä kohoaa ylös,
aallot murtuvat samalla kun ne soivat.
Hiljaa sulkee Uni
käsivartensa hellästi ympärilleni.
