Alleluya, a new work is come on hand
Language: English
Available translation(s): GER
A new work is come on hand.
Through might and grace of God's son,
To save the lost of every land,
For now is free what erst was bound;
We may well sing alleluya.
By Gabriel begun it was:
Right as the sun shone through the glass
Jesus Christ conceived was
Of Mary mother, full of grace;
Now sing we here alleluya.
Now is fulfilled the prophecy
Of David and of Jeremy,
And also of Ysaye;
Sing we therefore both loud and high: Alleluya.

Neues Wirken uns bereit’
Language: German (Deutsch)  after the English
Neues Wirken uns bereit’:
Mit Macht und mit Barmherzigkeit
hat Gottes Sohn all’, die verlor’n,
gerettet und aus Not befreit;
so singet Halleluja heut.
Mit Gabriel ’s begonnen ward:
So wie die Sonne scheint durch Glas,
der Gottessohn empfangen ward
von seiner Mutter, rein und zart;
lasst singen uns Halleluja.
Nun ist erfüllt, was prophezeit
von David schon vor langer Zeit
und von Jesaja, Jeremias.
So singet ohne Unterlass
Halleluja.
