Also noch einen Augenblick.
Daß sie mir immer wieder den Strick
zerschneiden.
Neulich war ich so gut bereit
und es war schon ein wenig Ewigkeit
in meinen Eingeweiden.
 
Halten sie mir den Löffel her,
diesen Löffel Leben.
Nein ich will und ich will nicht mehr,
laßt mich mich übergeben.
 
Ich weiß das Leben ist gar und gut
und die Welt ist ein voller Topf,
aber mir geht es nicht ins Blut,
mir steigt es nur zu Kopf.
 
Andere nährt es, mich macht es krank;
begreift, daß man's verschmäht.
Mindestens ein Jahrtausend lang
brauch ich jetzt Diät.

Allons, encore un instant.
Qu'ils me coupent encore une fois
la corde.
J'étais pourtant bien prêt l'autre jour,
il y avait déjà un peu d'éternité
dans mes tripes.

Tendez-moi la cuiller,
cette cuiller de vie.
Non, j'en veux et n'en veux plus,
laissez-moi vomir.

Je sais que la vie est très bonne
et que le monde est une soupière bien pleine,
mais ça ne me passe pas dans le sang,
cela ne fait que me monter à la tête.

D'autres s'en nourrissent, moi ça me rend malade ;
comprenez qu'on puisse en faire fi.
Pendant encore au moins un millénaire
je resterai à la diète.
