A star of love [in the course]1 of the heavens [Cools]2 my open bosom with radiance, A springtime plays [warmly]3 within my heart, A new rose blooms upon [my heart]: You are the star full of love and rapture, Your breath cools my bosom, You are the springtime that warms me, That rhapsodizes in the flowers of my heart. You have placed the rose against my heart, Thus you bloom without, bloom within, [The]4 power of spring moves doubly; The little rose grows and fills my senses; I [float]5 in the scents of love, The blue of the air [seems]6 endless. Ye stars in the winter night, do you suppose That I glow from drinking sweet wine?
