Heil dir, der du hassen kannst,
dem im reichen Mark tötende Flamme schläft,
den es lüsten kann als ein grosser Blitz
ins feige Antlitz der Welt zu verglühn,
grabend dein stolzes Mal in der Menschheit Stirn!

Heil dir, dem erhabenen Zorns
schmerzendes Feu'r enge Adern zerreisst,
daß, den Überstrom deines Bluts
in gewölbten Händen,
du um dich spähst, daß Todestaufe
deine Feinde von dir empfingen!

Heil dir, der du den trägen Trotz
stumpfer Geschlechter irrst,
dessen strafender Hass strafende Liebe ist!
Sonne der Zukunft loht aus dir,
wenn vernichtend heiß
göttlichen Grimmes Odem von dir geht!
