Vor der weißgetünchten Wand
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): ENG

In front of the whitewashed wall
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
In front of the whitewashed wall
Stands the black soldier’s case containing the manuscripts.
Upon it lie the smoking materials with the copper ashtrays.
The Chinese painting, showing the doubter
Hangs above. The masks are there, too, and beside the bed
Stands the little speaker with six tubes.
Early in the morning
I turn the switch and hear
The victory announcements of my enemies.
