Ich bin des Herrn
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  ENG

tritt vor mein Herz mit seinen Todeswunden;

I am the Lord’s!
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
I am the Lord’s!
Where else, then, should I turn?
My Jesus has the lasting words of life.
If He is whom my soul will never spurn
then God unlocks for me his gate of peace,
and blessed light surrounds me without cease.

I am the Lord’s!
He loves the sinner, me,
and sets his holy wounds before my heart;
and through his wounds his grace will set me free.
The gentle King of all my joyful days
shall be the King that I will always praise.

I am the Lord’s!
O love, you are so great,
you are the fount of God’s own majesties.
Eternal happiness is thus my fate
and all my life I shall rejoice in thee –
but after death: For all eternity!
I am the Lord’s!
