Io non chiedo qual plaga beata
fino adesso soggiorno ti fu:
non ti chiedo se Ninfa, se Fata,
se una bionda parvenza sei tu!
Ma che c'è nel tuo sguardo fatale ?
Cosa ci hai nel tuo magico dir?
Se mi guardi, un'ebbrezza m'assale,
Se mi parli, mi sento morir!
