Malönchen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  FRE
Elfchen hat ein Flügelpaar,
Elfchen hat ein Krönchen,
Elfchen hat ein Ringelhaar,
Elfchen heißt Malönchen.

Elfchen schlürft vom Rosenwein,
Elfchen schleckt vom Honig,
Schlüpft ins Mauseloch hinein,
Guckt heraus: Hier wohn ich.

Kommt heraus und lacht mich an;
Ätsch! er großer Peter!
Wenn er [mich jetzt]1 haschen kann,
Heirat ich ihn später.

Petit Malon
Language: French (Français)  after the German (Deutsch)
Le petit elfe a une paire d'ailes,
Le petit elfe a une petite couronne,
Le petit elfe a des cheveux bouclés,
Le petit elfe s'appelle petit Malon.

Le petit elfe lape du vin de rose
Le petit elfe suce du miel
Se glisse dans un trou de souris,
Regarde au dehors : « J'habite ici. »

Sort et me regarde en riant;
Ouille ! C'est le grand Pierre
S'il peut maintenant m'attraper,
Je l'épouserai plus tard.
