Frühlinge und Sommer steigen
Grün herauf und singen Lieder,
Schmücken bunt die Welt, und neigen
Müde sich zur Erde wieder.

Träumend aus dem Kranz der Tage
Grüßen flüchtig helle Stunden
Mir herauf wie schöne Sage,
Lächeln, leuchten, sind verschwunden.

Schauernd in der Tage Wende,
Mag auch Gold und Liebe winken,
Lassen traurig meine Hände
Die geschmückte Leier sinken.

Musicien
Language: French (Français)  after the German (Deutsch)
Les printemps et les étés font croître
La nature et s'élever les chansons,
Parent le monde de couleurs, puis fatigués,
Ils s'inclinent à nouveau vers la terre.

Émergeant en rêvant de la ronde des jours,
Les heures claires et fugitives m'apparaissent,
Comme de belles légendes,
Riantes,lumineuses, puis disparaissent.

Frissonnant au tournant du jour,
L'or et l'amour peuvent bien m'appeler,
Je laisse tristement de mes mains
Glisser la lyre parée de guirlandes.
