Roses i lliris, amb la rosada del matí, floreixen als jardins del meu voltant; al darrere, cobert de matolls i confident, s’enlaira el penyal a les alçàries i, envoltat per una alta forest, coronat per el castell d’un cavaller, l’arc del cim es dreça cap avall fins que es troba amb la vall. I allà hi flaireja com antany quan encara patíem el mal d’amor, i les cordes del meu saltiri competien amb la llum del matí; on, des dels matossars, el cant de la caça alenava l’esplet del seu so rotund, per enardir, per refrescar tot el que el cor volia i necessitava. Ara que els boscos rebroten perpètuament, encoratgeu-vos amb allò que altrament només vosaltres gaudíeu, deixeu que els altres també en gaudeixin, llavors ningú ens bescantarà que això ens ho hem permès només nosaltres, ara, en totes les etapes de la vida, ho heu de poder gaudir. I amb aquest cant i aquesta sentència hem retornat a Hafis, car, per acabar el dia, s’escau de gaudir amb els que gaudeixen.
