Premiers rayons !

Ah ! quel frisson d'ivresse agitant la nature,
Parcourt les bois, les monts, les prés et les buissons ;
La plaine est plus fleurie et la brise est plus pure,
Le val et la forêt s'emplissent de chansons !

Oh ! les premiers rayons des beaux soleils de flamme,
Qui font germer les fleurs et préparent le miel,
De quels transports divins ils enfièvrent notre âme !
Clarté nouvelle, ah ! viens briller dans le ciel !

Tu ravis nos esprits séduits par de doux rêves,
Nos cœurs sont ranimés sitôt que tu te lèves,
Notre âme s'ouvre encore aux douceurs des aveux !

L'amour respire en toi, tu remplis la pensée,
Et sans cesse charmée et tremblante oppressée,
A sa gloire elle chante un hymne vers les cieux !
