by Aleksei Nikolayevich Apukhtin (1841 - 1893)

On prijti obeshchal do rassveta ko mne
Language: Russian (Русский)
On prijti obeshchal do rassveta ko mne,
     Ja tomljus' v ozhidanii burnom,
Uzh poslednije zvezdy gorjat v vyshine,
     Pogasaja na nebe lazurnom.
Bez konca `eta noch', jeshche dolgo mne zhdat'…
Chto za shorokh! Ne on li, o Bozhe!
Ja vstaju, ja begu, ja upala opjat'
     Na moje odinokoje lozhe!

Blizok den', nad vodoju podnjalsja tuman,
     Ja gorju ot besplodnykh muchenij,
No vot shchelknul zamok – uzh teper' ne obman, –
     Vot, drozha, zaskripeli stupeni…
`Eto on, `eto on, moj izbrannik ljubvi!
Jeshche mig – on vojdet, torzhestvuja…
O, kak plamenny budut lobzan'ja moi,
O, kak zharko jego obnimu ja!
