Il' mež derev'ev vekovych
Nas noč' bezvremenno zastigla,
Liš' solnce syplet čerez nich
Mestami ognennye igly.
Zubčatyj klën, i gladkij buk,
I tvërdyj grab, i dub kornistyj
Vtorjat podkov železnyj zvuk
Sred' gama ptič'ego i svista;
I chodit trepetnaja smes'
Polutenej v prochlade mglistoj,
I čuet grud', kak vozduch ves'
Propitan syrost'ju dušistoj.
Von tam ukradkoj slabyj luč
Skol'zit po lipe, mchom odetoj,
I djatla stuk, i blizko gde-to
Žurčit v trave nezrimyj ključ…
